Develop a comprehensive site inventory of Connecticut's underwater cultural resources including shipwrecks, plane crashes, Native American sites and submerged man-made structures.

Create a comprehensive management plan to guide the potential investigation, research, mitigation and preservation of underwater sites.

Assemble a body of knowledge that includes archaeologically excavated artifacts, site reports, historic documentation and maps that will support a wide variety of research and public education on Connecticut's unique maritime heritage.

Evaluate the eligibility of each site for inclusion into the State and/or National Register of Historic Places.
